A free standing emergency room is a concept that has been around for over 20 years and is In use in many other parts of the country. Basically, the emergency room is taken out of the hospital and placed in the community as an extension of its care and services. Waiting times and visits to emergency rooms have increased dramatically in the last few years; we believe more beds are necessary to accommodate the needs of the community. A patient does not want to have a heart attack while waiting several hours for a bed to become available, and neither do we.
What if we need to be admitted to the hospital for further care?
24 Hour Emergency Room has the ability to transfer patients requiring inpatient treatment to area hospitals. Every attempt will be made to get our patients to the facility they feel most comfortable with.

Most lab results can be obtained within 15 minutes after collection because Of Our ER specific point of care laboratory. All imaging is digital and is completed promptly.

We believe a visit to the emergency room is bad enough without the wait times and hassles. We want the experience to be as pleasant as possible, quick but thorough, with physicians you feel comfortable with.
What insurance does 24 Hour ER accept?
24 Hour ER accepts all commercial insurance plans.
For what part of my bill am i responsible?
You will be asked to pay your emergency room co-pay when you arrive at 24 Hour ER. You will be responsible for the percentage of your emergency room bill required by your insurance plan.
Does 24 Hour ER accept federal or state sponsored health insurance plans?
At this time 24 Hour ER is not able to accept Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Tricare prime, CHIPS, or BlueCross BlueShield federal. Furthermore, due to governmental regulations, 24 Hour ER is not authorized to provide medical care to these patients nor are they allowed to accept cash payments from these patients.
What happens if i don't have commercial insurance and do not participate in any of the federal or state sponsored health plans?
24 Hour ER has a self pay rate for the er visit as well as all of the individual tests and studies that you will need for your work up. Self pay rates at 24 Hour ER are significantly discounted as compared with hospital based emergency rooms. Our goal at 24 Hour ER is to provide patients with an alternative to conventional hospital based er that is affordable while maintaining a high level of quality.
If i am a self pay patient, can i pick and choose only the tests that i can afford?
The need for all laboratory studies, radiographic imaging, medications and other emergency room services are determined by the physician based on medical necessity. If you are unable to afford the complete services at 24 Hour ER, you will be referred to facilty that can provide you with the necessary medical care and then bill you.
Can 24 Hour ER bill me or allow payment plans?
Payment for all services must be made to 24 Hour ER at the time of your visit.
What types of payment does 24 Hour ER accept for self pay patients?
24 Hour ER accepts cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard. 24 Hour ER does not accept American Express or traveler's checks.
