All 24 Hour Emergency Room facilitates are either licensed by Texas Department of Health as specialty hospitals or operate as satellite hospital facilities. The hospital's at Aubrey and Sugar Land are physician owned. Physician owners include John Buck MD, David Kirby MD, Toby Hamilton MD, Dan Middlebrook MD, Randy Park MD, Hemant Vankawala MD.
What if we need to be admitted to the hospital for further care?
Both our Aubrey and Sugar Land facilities are licensed by the Texas Department of Health as specialty hospitals. These two facilities are able to admit and provide continued treatment to certain patients as determined by the emergency specialist on duty. Certain patents, including those treated at the Tomball and Voss Road facilities, may need inpatient services from another hospital in the community. If this is the case, staff at 24 Hour Emergency Room will do everything to insure that your transfer to the other hospital goes smoothly and quickly.
Why are wait times at 24 Hour Emergency Room so short compared to a hospital based emergency room?
24 Hour Emergency Room has built our entire business around the concept of customer service. Each of our facilities was designed to best meet the needs of both the patient and providers. All services including laboratory and radiology are dedicated to the emergency department and report directly to the emergency room doctor.

What insurance does 24 Hour ER accept?
24 Hour ER accepts all commercial insurance plans.
For what part of my bill am i responsible?
You will be asked to pay your emergency room co-pay at the conclusion of your visit to 24 Hour Emergency Room. You will be responsible for the percentage of your emergency room bill required by your insurance plan.
Does 24 Hour ER accept federal or state sponsored health insurance plans?
At this time 24 Hour ER is able to accept Medicare and Tricare at the Aubrey and Sugar Land locations only. 24 Hour Emergency Room does NOT accept Medicaid at any of its locations.
What happens if i don't have commercial insurance, Medicare or Tricare?
24 Hour Emergency Room will evaluate, stabilize and appropriately disposition all medical emergencies regardless of ability to pay at time of service. 24 Hour Emergency Room does have a discounted prompt pay rate for patients who are able to pay for their emergency care on their day of service. Our goal at 24 Hour Emergency Room is to provide the community with an alternative to conventional hospital based emergency rooms that is affordable while maintaining a high level of quality.
If i am a self pay patient, can i pick and choose only the tests that i can afford?
The need for all laboratory studies, radiographic imaging, medications and other emergency room services are determined by the physician on duty and are based on medical necessity.
Can 24 Hour ER bill me or allow payment plans?
To receive the Prompt Pay Discounted Rate, payment in full for all services must be made to 24 Hour Emergency Room at the time of your visit.
What types of payment does 24 Hour ER accept for self pay patients?
24 Hour ER accepts cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard. 24 Hour ER does not accept American Express or traveler's checks.
